About
Soberton Players

Who we are

Soberton Players has been producing first class productions in the Meon Valley villages of Soberton and Newtown for more than 20 years. We stage two main productions a year in Soberton Village Hall: a comedy or drama in March or April, and a pantomime or musical show at the end of November - as well as getting involved in local festivals and fund-raising events.

Our ages range from 9 to 90 and we are always keen to welcome new members to our group, not just to act, but to help with the many other back-stage and front of house jobs required to keep the show on the road!

Get involved

Whether you are a seasoned performer or a newcomer to amateur dramatics we'd love more people to get involved in our shows. We're keen to hear from anyone who would like to help us – both performing and backstage, including costumes, lighting, sound, and front of house. So let us know if you'd like to get involved. We rehearse on Monday and Thursday evenings in Soberton Village Hall.

If you fancy reading a part in a play without the pressure of acting, why not come along to the Meon Valley Playreading Group - every second Tuesday in the month with a different play each month.
